5 Fun Ways To Celebrate a Graduation

March 30, 2021 by Steph Leave a Comment

Graduation time is one of the most exciting times in a person’s life. Whether getting a high school diploma or an MBA from a prestigious university, graduating during the time of COVID-19 is a momentous accomplishment.

Even though COVID-19 shut down nearly every major event between last Easter and the last holiday season, there are signs that things may be close enough to normal to gather for small celebrations this summer. You did the coursework, you took out loans to pay your tuition, and now you have your bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in hand, so the only thing left to do is raise a toast to your accomplishments before entering entrepreneurship or the workforce. Continue reading to learn some great ways to celebrate your present and future success in your area of study.

1. Throw a COVID-19-safe “Face Masquerade” ball.

Even though getting your MBA from one of the United States’ best online business masters programs might not make the U.S. News or World Report, but you can still celebrate as if it did. If you want to throw a COVID-safe event that everyone can enjoy, you should consider throwing a “face masquerade” ball—it’s like a regular masquerade ball except for the party-goers cover the lower half of their faces instead of the upper half.

One of the best tips for throwing a memorable masquerade ball is to be creative in how you encourage people to express their mystique. For instance, you could have people attend your party dressed in their graduation robes or in their chosen profession as it relates to their degree program. Keeping your masquerade ball college-themed is a great way to celebrate your success with your fellow graduates.

2. Give the gift of memories.

Yearbooks are a great way to commemorate your time in business school, but wouldn’t you like to have something a little more personal to memorialize your time working toward your MBA? If you want to give your classmates the gift of memories, you should give them framed canvas prints of moments you spent together.

You can use your favorite photos from your smartphone or take a special group photo and have it turned into a canvas print your friends will always treasure. Not only are canvas prints a unique and thoughtful gift idea, but they’re also inexpensive and classy.

Another great thing about canvas prints is that there’s no limit to what you can put on them. Even if you want a framed canvas print of your master’s degree, you can get it done in short order online. When you put your favorite moments in life on canvas, they go from being photos and bachelor’s degrees to pieces of artwork.

3. Don’t be scared to make your graduation celebration an intimate occasion.

Plenty of undergraduate students and master’s degree program students on campuses across the U.S. meet the loves of their life while starting their career paths. It’s magical when love and destiny meet up on college campuses and turn into the stuff of which rom-coms are made.

If you met the woman of your dreams while in your business analytics master’s program, you should celebrate the special occasion of your graduation with a night neither of you will ever forget. She may expect dinner at a nice restaurant and lace lingerie sets for the holiday season and Valentine’s day, but you can blow her mind away by making graduation night one of romance.

4. Barbeque and a movie is a great way to bring your friends together for a night of reminiscing, relaxation, and reels.

If you want to celebrate your accomplishments with your friends in a more relaxed setting where you can let your hair down and just be, you should throw some meat and veggies on the grill and turn your backyard into a movie theater. A backyard BBQ and a movie is the perfect way to unwind with your friends after years of undergraduate and master’s degree semesters.

5. Go on a vacation.

After enduring the rigors of higher education, you now may count yourself among your business school’s proud alumni. Better yet, after enduring the rigors of higher education, you now deserve a vacation. With many of the most luxurious vacation destinations in the U.S. beginning to reopen, going on a well-deserved vacation is the best way to end your college career and start your professional career.
