# Unit Conversion Tables for Volumes

Unit can be defined as a way of representation of quantities in a standard form by which they are identified. Unit is always placed after a number. Such as when we write 16 yard, it represents that this parameter is defined for length. Here ‘yard ’ is called unit and 16 is representing the magnitude. Meter is unit of length. SI unit system is the standard international unit system. Standard unit for length is meter (m), for mass is kilogram (kg) and for time is second (s).

Unit conversion is basically used to convert a unit in one form to another form for same quantity. Unit conversion can never be performed for different quantities. Unit of length can be converted in any other unit of length. Volume unit conversion table represents the unit conversions for volume. Unit of volume is given by (m) 3 or cubic meter. When we are given mass and density of a liquid, then Ratio of these two quantities gives the volume and mathematically it can be represented as V = M / D, where 'V' is the volume, 'M' is mass and 'D' is density of liquid. Unit of mass is kg and unit of density is kg / (meter)3 and thus unit of volume will be given as:
Unit of volume = kg / (kg / cubic meter) then unit of volume = cubic meter or (meter)3, by use of volume unit conversion table, we can convert the SI unit of volume in various other units of volume.

Let’s see volume conversion tables. Table shown below describes the conversions between units of volume.
