Addition means to add, join, combine or bring together any two or more given terms. A '+' sign is used to denote addition. Here are some of the properties of addition:
1. Closure Property
According to this property, when two whole Numbers are added then the sum will also be a whole number.
e.g, 3 + 5 = 8
2. Commutative Property
The commutative property of addition states that when two whole numbers are added, the result doesn't change with change in the order of the whole numbers.
e.g, 3 + 5 = 5 + 3 = 8
e.g, 3 + (5 + 2) = (5 + 3) + 2 = 10
4. Identity Property
The identity property states that there is a Whole Number '0' such that when this number gets added with any other whole number then the result will be the other whole number.
e.g, 3 + 0 = 3
