Probability

In statistical mathematics we perform various tasks to accomplish the calculations which are related to the possibility of the event. In general aspect Probability is used to describe the process of behavioral or logical estimation, which depends on occurring of an event. Simple meaning of probability refers to the prediction of occurring of an event.
Probabilities are easy to understand and calculate. The formula for probability is:
            P = number of favorable events/ total number of events,
The value of the probability lies between 0 and 1. Probability has the vital area for usage like in finance, artificial intelligence, philosophy and in science field.
Probability calculation generally deals with obtaining possible number of outcomes from total number of events performed.
Here is an example which shows you “what is the probability?”
Example: Suppose we have to select two digit Numbers randomly which can be divided by 3 but not 5. Find the probability of those numbers?
Solution: We are given that number should be of two digit, that means between 10 to 99.
                So, total two digit numbers are 90.
 From those 90 two digit numbers, there are only 30 numbers which are divisible by 3 and from those 30 numbers there are only 6 numbers which are divisible by 5. So remaining numbers are
                               30 – 6 = 24,
So, probability = number of favorable events/total numbers of events
                     =   24/90,
      Probability = 4/15.
