How to Multiply 4 Digit Numbers?

There are different methods through which we can easily multiply four digit Numbers. Here we will see how to multiply 4 digit numbers. We will multiply 4 digit number step by step:
Steps to multiply 4 digit numbers are shown below:

Step 1: Take 4 digit numbers. Suppose we have four digit numbers 2463 and 3687.

Step 2: Then multiply each term to terms of other number. Write both numbers in multiplication form. So it can be written as: 2463 * 3687.

Step 3: Multiply 7 by all terms of first term, we get 17241, multiply 8 by all terms, we get 19704, multiply 6 by 2463 we get 14778 and at last multiply 3 by 2463, we get 7389.

Step 4: At last add all terms, we get 9081081, in this way we can multiply four digit numbers.

Now we will understand it with help of an example: Now we will see how to multiply 5 digits with 4 digits, suppose we have 24639 and 3687.
Write both numbers in multiplication form: 24639 and 3687.
Multiply 7 by all terms of first number, we get 172473, multiply 8 by all terms of second number, we get 197112, multiply 6 by 24639 we get 147834 and at last multiply 3 by 24639 then we get 73917.
At last we will add all these values. If we add 172473, 197112, 147834, 73917. On adding these values we get: 90843993. This is how we multiply five digit numbers.
