Step 1: To find area of trapezoid it is necessary to have length of both diagonals.
Step 2: Then put length of diagonals in formula to get value of area.

Suppose length of both diagonals of trapezoid is 6 inch and 8 inch respectively. Then find the area of trapezoid?

Solution: Given d1 = 6 inch and d2 = 8 inch. Here we need to follow above steps to find the area. Formula to find area of trapezoid is given as:
Area of trapezoid = d1. d2 / 2, now put values of d1 and d2 in given formula. On putting values we get:
Area of trapezoid = (6). (8) / 2, on further solving we get:
Area of trapezoid = 48 / 2 = 24 inch2.
