Triangle is one of the basic shapes of Geometry. Equilateral triangle is the triangle which has all three internal angles of 60 degrees. Here we will learn how to draw an Equilateral Triangle.
There are some steps which will help us to draw equilateral triangle:
Step 1: First of all we need to draw a line segment on paper. This line can be of any length. Now name Line Segment as AB.
Step 2: Now we choose a Point and name it as P. Measure the length of line AB with help of compass. Place compass point on A and open it wide to point B. Now compass has width of sides of triangle. Do not change width of compass.
Step 3: Make two arcs from point P.
Step 4: Now select any of the two arcs and mark a point Q on that. It does not matter which arc you will select.
Step 5: Now put the point of compass on point Q. After this we have to draw another arc which passes through another arc. Name creating point as 'R'.
Step 6: Now with help of ruler, draw a line. This line will connect the points Q and R. Just like this we will connect points P and Q at last point R and P.
Step 7: Now we have three lines PQ, PR and QR. If we measure these three lines then we will find that all lines are of equal length.
