How to Analyze Statistical Data?

Statistics is the science that helps in taking the decisions under uncertainties. The detection of the individual data is important in Statistics. Statistics gives us a way to recognize the tricky effects from the sea of individuals. Here we will see how to analyze statistical data:
Descriptive statistics is used to describe the data and there are different ways to describe data which are:

  • Frequency analysis
  • Summary measurement
  • Graphical representation of the data
Descriptive analysis is the first step in analysis of a data. First frequency analysis of data is done to see that how scores are distributed. The good thing is that this can be used with all types of data and explains relationship between different variables with cross tabulation.
Histograms are bar graphs that can be used either for discrete category or for representing a data of a continuous variable. More than one distribution can be described on the same histogram and can be compared.
Frequency Polygon is another type of description and unlike bars dots are used in frequency polygons to describe a data that can be either distributed or in continuous form. This is used to compare two or more frequency polygons with an easy way because this is less cluttered than histogram and like histogram more than two polygons can be compared.
Histograms and frequency polygons are graphical methods that are used to represent the data and data can be analyzed and compared with the help of these methods.
After these states the data needed to be tested on several steps for the final decision. On this step the data can be rejected, failed or can have error.
There are a number of steps and methods by which data can be analyzed.
