How Many Vertices Does a Cone Have?

In mathematics, there are different types of three dimensional figures such as Sphere, cylinder etc. Here we will study about cone. Cone can be defined as a three dimensional surface which has circular base and one vertex. Now we will see how many vertices does a cone have? According to definition of cone we can easily say that cone has one vertex. Vertex of a cone is also known as apex of cone. It is formed by Set of possible lines that pass through vertex (apex) of cone. In other words, a cone is a Solid object which can be obtained by revolution of a right – angled triangle along one side adjacent to Right Angle. Three dimensional figures have different types of properties; we will see some properties of cone which are mentioned below.
Two faces, one edges and one vertex is present in a cone. Flat side of cone is known as base of cone.
Some formulas based on cone. Suppose if we want to calculate surface area of base then formula is given as:
Surface area of base = ⊼* r2, here ‘r’ is the radius of a cone, and value of ‘π’ is 3.14.
Surface area of side = ⊼* r * s,
Or Surface area of side = ⊼* r * √ (r2 + h2), here ‘h’ denotes the height of cone, ‘r’ is the radius of cone. We can also find volume of cone. Formula to find volume of cone is given by:
Volume of cone = ⊼* r2 * (h / 3),
Here ‘H’ denotes height of cone, ‘r’ is the radius of cone and ‘s’ represents side length of cone. This is all about properties of cone.
