Rational numbers follow Commutative Property rule, according to which we can say that if we have two Rational Numbers a/b and c/d then addition of that fallows commutative additions. The commutative addition can be represented as a/b +c/d =c/d +a/b.
It will be more be clear with the help of an example:
Add 2/5 and 4/5
Now, we check that above rational number follow commutative property or not
Firstly, we will take left hand side,
Let a=2/5 and b=4/5,
According to commutative property,
a+b= b+a,
2/5 + 4/5,
6/5 now taking right hand side,
4/5 +2/5,
6/5,
Commutative Property of Multiplication refers that two numbers or rational numbers can be multiplied in either order. In mathematical manner we can represent this property as : a x b = b x a
Here is an example which further help you to understand this concept:
4/5 X 5/2 = 5/2 x 4/5
2 = 2
L.H.S = R.H.S
From, the above examples we can say that rational numbers follow commutative property as left hand side =right hand side.
