Circles

Circle is a round shape Geometry like coin shape, tyre shape etc. Now we discuss different Circle formulas and their uses-
Diameter of circle = 2 * radius,

Suppose we have a circle, whose radius is 7 inches, then-
Diameter of the circle = 2 * 7 = 14 inches,

So, diameter of the circle is 14 meter, whose radius is 7 inches.
Area of circle = π * r * r,
Suppose we have a circle, whose Diameter is 16 inches, then,
Now first of all, we calculate radius of given circle is,
Radius = (diameter / 2),
Radius = (16 / 2) = 8 inches,
So, radius of given circle is 8 meter, now we use following area of circle formula for evaluating area of circle-

Area of circle = π * r * r,
                       = 3.14 * 8 * 8,
                       = 200.96.
Therefore area of circle is 200.96 inch2, whose diameter is 16 meter.

Circumference of circle = 2 * π * r,
Suppose we have a circle, whose radius is 7 inch, then we apply circumference of circle formula for evaluating circumference of circle-
Circumference of circle = 2 * π * r,
                                       = 2 * 3.14 * 7,
                                       = 43.96,
So, circumference of circle is 43.96, whose radius is equal to 7 inches.
For evaluating the Arc Length of circle, we use following formula-

Arc length of circles (s) = radius * central angle
Suppose we have a circle, whose radius is 7 inches and central angle is 60 degree, then-
Arc length of circles ( s ) = radius * central angle
                                       = 7 * (π/180 * 60),
                                       = 7 * π/3,
                                       = 7 * 1.04,
                                       = 7.33 inch.
So, arc length of a circle is 7.33 inch, whose radius is 7 inches and central angle is 60 degree.

Pictures of Circles

A Circle is basically a Set of points which are at equal distances from center Point. Distance from Center of Circle to the point on outer edge of circle is called as Radius of Circle and distance measured from straight line crossing the center and touching both edges of line to circumference of circle is called Diameter of circle. Diameter is basically half of radiu...Read More

Coordinate of a Point on the Unit Circle

In mathematics a unit Circle is defined as a circle whose radius is equals to one. We can say that a Unit Circle is a circle whose radius is equal to one which is centered at origin. Origin is the Point whose coordinates are (0,0). Let us discuss Coordinate of a Point on the unit circle.
If unit circle has points (x, y) in first quadrant then ra...Read More

Triangles in Circle

Concept of Triangles in Circle was given by Euclid who introduced the theory of circumcircle and incircle. When we draw any Circle inside a triangle then it results in formation of incircle and incentre
When we draw a triangle inside a circle then it is called as Circumcircle of the triangle. It is the circle which passes through all corner points of triangle. In th...Read More

Parts of Circles

When we study Geometry, and look at the Circle, we say that the circle is a round figure, which has its boundary at equal distance from a Point called Centre of the circle. If we look at different parts of the circle we us...Read More

Properties of Circle

Whenever we think about Circle geometry, then some shapes come in our mind like Ring, tyre etc. and these round shapes Geometry is known as circle. For understanding the geometry of circle, we have to know all properties of Circles. So, now we discuss properties of a circle

There are following properties of circles
Property 1: A circle is a symmetrical shape....Read More
