Chord of a Circle Calculator

Chord of a Circle Calculator is a calculator which is used to calculate the length of Chord of the circle. In mathematics the length of a line in a circle inscribed such that its end points lie on the circle is called the chord, and in order to calculate its length we use the Chord of a Circle Calculator. The calculator makes use of formula to calculate the value and it has two input text box, one output text box and a solve button. Clicking on the solve button provides the desired result.
Steps that have to be followed while working with Chord of a Circle Calculator are:-
Step 1:- Put the input values in the calculator and the calculator will make use of the mathematical formula 2 √ (r² - d²).
Here r = radius and ‘d’ is the perpendicular distance from the chord to the center of the circle.
Step 2:- Then click on ‘solve’ key and the output is generated in the output box.
For example:- Calculate the chord of the circle if the radius of the circle is 6.4 inch and perpendicular distance of chord to the center of the circle is 5 inch?
Put the value of ‘r’ (radius) in the formula and the perpendicular distance.
[2 √ (6.4)² - (5)²],
Calculate the Square and difference of values:
=> [2√ 40.96 - 25],
=> [2 √ 15.96]
=> [2 * 3.994]
Answer = 7.99 inch.
