If we have two Sets, and the elements of one Set is associated with the element of other set is known as Functions. Algebra and functions are very important for finding the Relations in the given sets. We can say Algebra is a branch of mathematics which uses letters in place of Numbers. Suppose we have 5 + 9 = 9 + 5 which is given in the algebra and we can also write it as p + q = q + p; or in short we can say we use letters and other symbol in place of numbers. For example p + 5 = 9; here in this equation the letter ‘p’ is unknown, when we find the value of variable ‘p’ then we subtract 5 from both sides of the equation.
When we subtract 5 from both sides of a equation we get:
P + 5 – 5 = 9 – 5; on further solving we get:
P = 4;

If we apply product operation then we can write as:
⇒ (f . g) (p) = f(p) . g(p);
If we apply quotient operation then we can write as:
⇒ (f / g) (p) = (f/g)(p) or f(p)/g(p);
